Lili and Cole have both worked with each other as co-stars on the popular show ‘Riverdale’. They reportedly started dating in 2017 but made sure to keep things quiet about the romance. Although they would openly appear together in outings and red carpet events, they never spoke out about the relationship in any interviews, leading many to believe they preferred to keep things as private as possible. They did, however, leave little clues on social media when posting and commenting on each other’s various photos.

Cole and Lili broke up in the spring of 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. They stayed extremely tight-lipped about the breakup. In a March 2023 interview, Cole admitted that the split was “mutual,” but said that he was the one who initially made the decision to leave. He also shared that working with Lili on ‘Riverdale’ was “difficult” at first after the breakup, but confirmed that they were able to become “good friends” in the years since.
