Liam Payne: Photos of the Late Singer & One Direction Star

Liam Payne was known as a solo singer and member of One Direction. We’re honoring the late music artist by looking back at his best photos.

Liam Payne rose to fame when competing on The X Factor. He originally auditioned in 2008 when he was 14 but did not make it through. When he auditioned again, he was put in a group with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik to make up what would become One Direction. The group went on to get third place on the show but continued making music afterward, becoming a worldwide success.

Liam himself is credited with writing many of One Direction’s songs. After the band decided to go on an indefinite hiatus in 2015, Liam pursued a solo career, working with artists such as Rita Ora, Zedd, Quavo, and more. Unfortunately, Liam’s life was cut short when he tragically died in October 2024.
