Leslie Jordan made people laugh for decades, and his legacy will live on long after him. The actor died on Oct. 24, 2022 in a car accident in Hollywood. It’s suspected he suffered some sort of medical emergency before crashing his BMW into the side of a building. He was 67.
Born April 29, 1955 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Leslie was known for his short stature and southern drawl. He was beloved for his roles in TV’s Hearts Afire (1993–1995), Will & Grace (2001–2006, 2017–2020), the American Horror Story franchise (2011–present), and Call Me Kat (2021–present).
During the COVID pandemic, he found new fans via his happy-go-lucky social media videos. The feel-good clips helped him go from 80k to 5.8 million followers almost overnight.
Leslie Jordan’s energy was absolutely contagious. His smile lit up the red carpet ahead of the 2022 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on April 30. He was classic in a black tux and looked thrilled to be at the event, which was back after two years of hiatus.
