The billionaire icon found fame on daytime TV in the 1980s, and has been a household name ever since. Her Chicago-based, Oprah Winfrey Show aired for 25 years before ending in May 2011. But, turning her back on daytime TV didn’t mean that Oprah left the small screen entirely. Months before ending her show she launched a cable channel, the Oprah Winfrey Network, aka OWN. The station boasts a number of hit TV series including dramas like Greenleaf, The Haves and the Have Nots and Queen Sugar. Other OWN fan faves include Iyanla: Fix My Life and Super Soul Sunday. On the big screen Oprah has impressed critics by co-starring in movies like The Color Purple, Selma and Lee Daniels’ The Butler. Other professional achievements include her entry into the world of glossies, with O, The Oprah Magazine. In her personal life, Oprah has found happiness with her long-term partner, Stedman Graham.
