Jon Ossoff is an American politician running for Senate in Georgia. The young Democrat is up for a contested seat — should he win the January 5, 2021 runoff race, the Democrats could gain control of the US Senate, and thus, all of Congress. Ossoff previously ran for Congress in Georgia in a 2017 special election when the sitting Congressman, Tom Price, was tapped to become Donald Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services. Ultimately, he lost to Republican Karen Handel and opted out of running again in the 2018 midterms elections. 

Ossoff is an invesigative journalist who produces documentaries about the injustices of ISIS. A documentary his company, Insight TWI, produced in 2018 called Face to Face with ISIS won the One World Media Award. Here, Ossoff is seen at a Senate debate in Georgia in December 2020.
