Joey Chestnut is a famous competitive eater. He won the 2019 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4, 2019. He won his first Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in 2007, beating six-time defending champion Takeru Kobayashi. He won every year until 2015 when he was beaten by Matt Stonie. He reclaimed his title in 2016 by eating 70 hot dogs. He holds the world record of eating 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes. At the 2019 contest, he was victorious but he fell short of beating his record. Joey at 71 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Joey proposed to his girlfriend, Neslie, Ricasa, before the 2014 contest. They split up in early 2015. In addition to hot dog eating contests, he has competed in eating contests of grilled cheese sandwiches, waffles, burgers, wings, pizza, macaroni and cheese, bratwursts, and more.
