J.J. Watt (born Justin James Watt), 30, is an American football defensive end for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. He has remained with the team over the past decade and has won many honors in the process including being Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 2017.
He played college football at the University of Wisconsin before being drafted into the NFL in 2011 where he started all 16 games. JJ finished his rookie year with 48 solo tackles, eight assisted tackles, and 5.5 sacks while helping The Texans qualify for the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
Other honors that JJ has achieved during his illustrious football career include being a 5-time Pro Bowl player, 3 time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and won the Walter Payton Man Of The Year award in 2017.
