Jimmy Carter’s Funeral: Photos of the Late President’s Procession

Carter’s funeral arrangements lasted all week and ended in his formal funeral in Washington D.C.

The final funeral procession for late former President Jimmy Carter took place on January 9, 2025. President Joe Biden labeled the date as a day or mourning for all Americans to observe as Washington D.C. laid Carter to rest. At the funeral, multiple politicians attended to pay their respects, including former President Barack Obama. His wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, was not present. Other guests were Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Laura Bush, Mike Pence, Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and president-elect Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump.

Biden along with several other speakers eulogized Carter and bid farewell to the former president, who died at 100 years old on December 29, 2024.
