Jessica Post is president of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee- a position she was promoted to in July 2019, after serving as the DLCC’s executive director. Post has the job of leading the national strategy for electing Democrats to the 7,000 state legislative seats all across the country. In 2020, there are about 6,000 seats on the ballot and Post and the DLCC are fighting to turn ten state legislatures blue. The Democrats were successful in flipping ten legislative Chambers and 430 legislative seats since the 2016 elections. Post tells HollywoodLife that she and her team identify districts in states across the country where they see opportunities for Democratic candidates to win a seat that may have been held by a Republican. The DLCC is one of the branches of the Democratic party and Post points out that state legislatures have a huge impact on the daily lives of every American.
