Amazon used to just be a site to conveniently buy books online. Now, you can get anything you want — and it has made Jeff the richest man in the world. Amazon has become the biggest online retailer in the world, and the biggest employer in the United States. Along with retail, it now offers a music platform, Amazon Studios, which produces shows like “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”, and so much more. Jeff expanded his empire in the 2010s by purchasing Whole Foods and “The Washington Post”. As of 2019, Jeff was worth $160 billion. Behind the scenes, Jeff had a scandalous personal life. He began dating news anchor Lauren Sanchez in 2018 behind his wife, MacKenzie Bezos’ back. Jeff and MacKenzie finalized their divorce in April 2019, and because they had no prenup, she was given $35 billion. Jeff is still the richest man in the world at $112 billion.
