Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto was born Bossier City, Louisiana on December 26, 1971. He rose to fame after playing teen Jordan Catalano in My So-Called Life in 1994. A year later, he made his film debut in How to Make an American Quilt. He has acted in many critically acclaimed films, including Girl, Interrupted, American Psycho, Fight Club, and Requiem for a Dream. In 2016, he impressed in the blockbuster film Suicide Squad. Leto’s performance as a transgender woman in Dallas Buyers Club (2013), earned him an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Jared also heads up the rock band 30 Seconds To mars, which he formed along with his older brother, Shannon Leto. The band released their debut album in 2002.
