‘iCarly’ is making a comeback in 2021. The highly-anticipated revival premieres July 17 on Paramount+. Original cast members Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor are all returning to the roles they played in the hit Nickelodeon series. The original ‘iCarly’ premiered in 2007 and ran for 6 seasons. The show remains one of Nickelodeon’s most beloved shows.

Miranda Cosgrove starred as Carly Shay, who created her own web series ‘iCarly’ with her friends. Prior to ‘iCarly,’ Miranda was already a Nickelodeon star. She starred in the hit series ‘Drake & Josh.’ Since ‘iCarly’ came to an end in 2012, Miranda has notably voiced the character of Margo in the ‘Despicable Me’ franchise. She has also pursued a music career. Miranda is back as the beloved Carly, only now she’s an adult. The new ‘iCarly’ will chart Carly’s journey in the influencer era. Jennette McCurdy starred as Sam Puckett, Carly’s best friend, on ‘iCarly.’ She went on to star in the spinoff series ‘Sam & Cat,’ which also starred Ariana Grande. She has appeared in several films, short films, and TV series since ‘iCarly’ ended. Her last roles were in 2018. She has since quit acting to pursue writing and directing. She currently hosts her own podcast called ‘Empty Inside.’ She will not be returning to the role of Sam in the ‘iCarly’ revival.

Nathan Kress starred as Freddie Benson, Carly’s best friend and love interest. After ‘iCarly’ ended in 2012, Nathan reprised the role of Freddie in an episode of ‘Sam & Cat.’ He’s gone on to voice the role of Wedge Antilles in the series ‘Star Wars Rebels.’ He’s also appeared on ‘Henry Danger,’ ‘Game Shakers,’ and ‘Hawaii Five-0.’ He will return to the role of Freddie in the ‘iCarly’ revival. Nathan is married to London Elise Moore. They have two children.

Jerry Trainor starred as Carly’s wacky and hilarious older brother, Spencer Shay. In the years after ‘iCarly,’ Jerry has had roles on ‘Henry Danger,’ ‘No Good Nick,’ ‘Apocalypse Goals,’ and more. He will return to the role of Spencer in Paramount+’s ‘iCarly’ revival.

Noah Munck played Gibby on ‘iCarly’ throughout the show’s 6 seasons. Since 2014, Noah has had the notable recurring role of ‘Naked Rob’ Smith on ‘The Goldbergs.’ In addition to acting, Noah is also a music producer. He is not expected to return for the ‘iCarly’ revival.
