Herschel Walker has gone through a number of different careers! A Heisman Trophy-winning college football star, Herschel began playing pro football in 1983, and he was drafted to the NFL in 1986, where he played for over 10 years for the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Minnesota Vikings. During his career, he went to the Pro Bowl twice.
After his NFL retirement in 1997, Herschel has stayed active and he took up a new interest in martial arts, studying taekwondo, and he’s taken an interest in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). He’s even fought in two MMA matches, both of which he won.
In 2014, Herschel revealed that he’s a Republican, and he was an active supporter of former President Donald Trump during both his 2016 and 2020 campaigns. In 2021, the former football player revealed that he’d run for Senate in Georgia against Democrat Raphael Warnock during the 2022 midterms.
