Harry Belafonte sadly passed away from congestive heart failure at the age of 96 on April 25, 2023. Harry, born on March 1, 1927, has had an illustrious career as a singer, actor & activist and the ‘King of Calypso.’ He is the singer of “Banana Boat” which become a hit when used in the film Beetlejuice. Harry was also a friend of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. & worked on the civil rights movement. Harry also has a loving family of four children. Harry shared daughters, Adrienne and Shari, with first wife Marguerite Byrd, and two children, David and Gina, with second wife Julie Robinson.
