Halyna Hutchins: Pics Of The Late Cinematographer

                                                                                                          Halyna Hutchins was a cinematographer who was sadly killed on the set of the movie ‘Rust’ on Oct. 21, 2021 after a prop gun that Alec Baldwin was holding accidentally went off.                                                                                                           Halyna Hutchins poses at the Artists for Peace and Justice party. It was during the 70th Cannes Film Festival in France in May 2017.

                                                                                                          Halyna was known as a cinematographer in Hollywood’s film industry. She sadly died at the age of 42 after a prop gun, which was unknowingly loaded, being held by Alec Baldwin accidentally went off and struck her at a ranch in New Mexico on Oct. 21, 2021. She was airlifted to a hospital but died from her injuries. Director Joel Souza was also injured but not fatally.

                                                                                                          Halyna was sometimes in the spotlight when she attended industry events, and she even helped create short films that received praise over the years. She was originally from the Ukraine but had moved to America to work as a cinematorgapher and spoke both Russian and English. 

                                                                                                          After her death, there was an outpouring of support from actors, crew members, and fans of movies and it brought up the question of gun safety on movie sets. Alec also spoke out about the tragedy and was reportedly ‘inconsolable’ after the accident occurred.
