Glenn Close Through The Years: Photos — Glenn Close, born March 19, 1947, is an iconic American actress, with a career spanning over 4 decades. She’s been in countless films, including ‘The Big Chill, ‘Fatal Attraction’, ‘101 Dalmations’, and ‘Hillbilly Elegy’. And a career that long and varied, has come with its fair share of accolades.

While she’s earned Golden Globes, Emmys, and Tonys, the star has yet to snag the top acting honor: An Oscar. That doesn’t mean Glenn’s talents haven’t been recognized by the Academy. The star has been nominated eight times for an Academy Award, holding the record for the most nominations in an acting category without a win. Her last nom was for 2020’s ‘Hillbilly Elegy’, but she lost to Korean actress Youn Yuh-jung from the film ‘Minari’.
