Gilmore Girls is an American comedy-drama television series, starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. The show premiered on October 5, 2000, on The WB and became one of the network’s top shows. Gilmore Girls originally ran for seven seasons, with the final season moving to The CW. The show ended its popular run on May 15, 2007. Gilmore Girls show follows the close relationship between single mother, Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham), and her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel), who live in Stars Hollow, Connecticut — a small fictional town. The series explores a number of relatable issues, including family, romance, education and friendship, along with generational divides and social class. The show also dives into Lorelai’s tumultuous relationship with her high profile parents, Emily (Kelly Bishop) and Richard (Edward Herrmann), and Rory’s experiences at the private high school Chilton, and later on at Yale University. In 2016, the main cast returned for a four-part miniseries revival titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which streamed on Netflix.
