California Governor Gavin Newsom is seen here giving his 2019 inaugural address at the State Capitol building in Sacramento. He looked determined when speaking his words.

Gavin has been the 40th govenor of California since 2019. As a member of the Democratic party, he also served as the 49th lieutenant governor of California from 2011 to 2019 and the 42nd mayor of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011.

The politician was born in San Francisco, CA and has been a lover of the ‘golden state’ all his life. One of the most memorable moments of his career was during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. He was criticized for his handling of the health issue and it prompted an attempt to recall him from the governor’s office, but he ended up prevailing and was elected for second term in the 2022 election.

Browse through the photos to see some of Gavin’s most memorable moments during his political career.
