There will only be one Courtney Love. As the lead vocalist for alternative rock/grunge band Hole, Courtney burst upon the music scene in 1994 with the band’s second album, ‘Live Through This.’ The album established Courtney as a rock legend, an icon of female power against the patriarchal confines of mainstream society. As an actress, Courtney had a noted role in ‘Sid & Nancy’ and ‘Straight To Hell,’ but it was her turn in ‘The People Vs. Larry Flint’ that established her as a mainstream star. The role earned her a Golden Globe nomination that year. She followed it up in films like ‘Man On The Moon’ and 2002’s ‘Trapped.’ Courtney is also known for her relationship with the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. She was married to Kurt until his death in 1994. They had one daughter together, Frances Bean Cobain. Though Courtney’s public persona has been one dotted with feuds and drug abuse, as of 2021, she was sober and on a path of peace and tranquility.
