Keith Urban Opens The 2022 CMT Music Awards — The CMT Awards are finally here! The star-studded event kicked off on April 11 at 8 PM ET on CBS, and despite the pouring rain, country music’s biggest stars were dressed to the nines. While host Kelsea Ballerini was forced to back out last minute after testing positive for COVID-19, Kane Brown stepped in to co-host with actor Anthony Mackie! In between announcing award winners for this year’s best music videos, top-charting country stars took the stage at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium to perform. Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, Jason Aldean and more shared their latest hits, while Kenny Chesney closed out the show!
