Few actors are as beloved as Christopher Meloni is. The Washington D.C. native is best known for his role as NYPD Detective Elliot Stabler on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Christopher was on the show for the first 12 seasons until he exited in May 2011. His work on the series even earned him a 2006 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. After leaving SVU, he appeared in shows like True Blood and Happy. In 2020, Christopher finally returned to the Law & Order franchise to lead the spin-off series Law & Order: Organized Crime.
