Chris Christie served as the 55th Governor of New Jersey from 2010 to 2018 — but that’s far from where the story ends. A former federal prosecutor born in Newark, New Jersey, Chris Christie saw much scandal while he held the office of Governor In The Garden State, and perhaps just as much once he left.
Following his time in office, having endorsed eventual winner Donald Trump for President, he was named head of Trump’s transition planning team. In March 2017, Trump picked Christie to chair the Opioid and Drug Abuse Commission, an advisory committee on the opioid epidemic in the United States. By January 2018, left that position to join ABC News as a regular network contributor.
