Alani Nicole ‘La La’ Vázquez and Carmelo Anthony met when they were teenagers and began dating when she was just 19-year-old. They got engaged on Christmas Day in 2004. La La gave birth to the couple’s first child, a son, Kiyan, on March 7, 2007. La La and Carmelo got married on July 10, 2010 at Cipriani’s in New York. The ceremony was filmed by VH1 and aired as part of a reality series about the couple, ‘La La’s Full Court Wedding’. The series continued, with a name change — ‘La La’s Full Court Life’ — which continued to document their life together after marriage. In April 2017, La La filed for separation from Carmelo after he was publicly accused of cheating on her. However, she remained supportive of him throughout their separation. In a sit-down interview in June of that same year, La La told Wendy Williams she and Carmelo were not officially divorcing at the time. As of January 2019, La La and Carmelo were back together. The couple, along with their son spent New Year’s together as a family.
