Camila Mendes is known for her role as the rich and fierce Veronica Lodge on ‘Riverdale,’ which is CW’s live-action series based on the popular Archie Comics. She landed the role in 2016, the same year she graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (her co-star, Cole Sprouse, was a part of the same graduating class). She learned of the role through her talent agency, which she previously interned for as a college student! Prior to her breakthrough role, Camila’s first acting gig was an IKEA commercial.
Camila has also starred in the 2018 Netflix film ‘The New Romantic’ alongside Jessica Barden, and the 2019 thriller ‘Coyote Lake.’ Camila’s career is just taking off, since she was a very fresh face on ‘Riverdale.’ She’s also known for her romance with co-star Charles Melton, whom she began dating in Aug. 2018.
Camila is Latin American, and was born to Brazillian parents. She can speak Portugese fluently.
