If you love the man who hosted ‘The Price Is Right’ for its first 35 years, then come on down! Bob Barker will forever be a television icon, so take a look at some of his legendary moments.

Bob Barker — Though he retired from hosting ‘The Price Is Right’ in 2007, Bob Barker will forever be associated with the beloved game show. Born in Washington State – while spending his youth in South Dakota – Barker began his broadcasting career while attending college at Drury University. He landed the role of hosting the television version of Jack Bailey’s ‘Truth or Consequences,’ a gig Bob would hold onto from 1956 to 1975. In 1972, however, Bob secured a job that would make him a television legend. He was picked to host a modernized version of ‘The Price Is Right,’ which first debuted in 1956 and ended in 1963. For 35 years, Bob was the face of the program, greeting contestants as they participated in numerous games over the decades. In 2007, Bob handed the mic over to his replacement, Drew Carey, and retired from show business. Since the death of his wife Dorothy Joe Gideon in 1981, Bob has been an advocate for animal rights.
