Ashley Aufderheide Exclusive Portraits — Ashley Aufderheide is a star on the rise. The actress recently had her breakout moment playing Gwen Runck in the fan-favorite ‘That ’90s Show,’ the long-awaited follow-up to ‘That ’70s Show.’ Gwen is part of the new group of friends Leia, Eric and Donna’s daughter, gets to know during her summer in Point Place, Wisconsin. The series was renewed for season 2 on February 3, so expect to see more of Gwen, Leia, Jay, Nate, Nikki, and Ozzie.

In season 2, Ashley would love to see Gwen get a love interest. “So I actually asked the writers if we get to season 2 what we’re going to be doing, and they said that she would have a boyfriend,” Ashley admitted. “I was sort of deducing who that would be or if it would be someone new.” She also wants to explore more of Gwen’s family in season 2. Ashley Aufderheide On Working With Callie Haverda — “When I did my chemistry read with Callie, Greg Mettler, the showrunner, said, ‘Have you guys met each other? Do you know each other?’ Because our chemistry was that instant. It seemed like we’d already been friends for so long, best friends even. So then when we met in person, I remember it so clearly. We gave each other the biggest hug because we’d been DMing actually for so long talking about the show, what we thought was going to happen throughout the season. And then when we saw each other, it was crazy. We immediately bonded and were friends.”

Ashley Aufderheidi On Playing Gwen Runck — “Gwen is very bold. I think she’s a leader, and she says she’s the queen of her group, which is cute. I liked that line. For me, I think I’m an extrovert. I’m pretty confident myself, and I think I’ve learned a little bit about confidence through Gwen. Her style is very bold and unique. I’m trying to up my style game as well.”

That was also part of my audition scene as well. So it’s definitely stuck with me and holds true to my heart. I feel like Gwen is just emblematic of confidence. She’s sort of my alter ego.”
