Young Hollywood musicians in love: a fantasy, or a recipe for disaster? Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are a perfect example of a musical couple that we (and they) were sure would be together forever. Wentz, the base-player of the beloved band Fall Out Boy, began dating singer Ashlee Simpson in 2006. Shortly after, the pair got married in May 2008 at Simpson’s family’s home in Encino, California. Two short weeks after tying the knot, Ashlee confirmed her first pregnancy and gave birth to her first child with Wentz, a boy named Bronx, who was born in November 2008.
Three years into being married, and Ashlee filed for a divorce from Wentz in 2011. Supposedly, their marriage began to get rocky due to Fall Out Boy’s hiatus in 2010, which was imaginably a difficult thing for Wentz to deal with. After their divorce was finalized they both went their separate ways, but we’ll never forget how cute of a couple they were.
