Arden Myrin Visits HollywoodLife.com — Actress and comedian Arden Myrin visited HollywoodLife to talk about season two of her Netflix series Insatiable. The show follows Patty, played by Debby Ryan, who for years suffered from bullying by her peers as an overweight teen. However, after losing weight following an accident that requires her mouth wire shut, Patty is out for revenge. Enter Bob Armstrong — a pageant coach who takes an interest in Patty and convinces her to enter pageants. Little does he know, this also allows Patty to exact her revenge on those who hurt her. In the Netflix series, Arden Myrin plays Regina, a self-centered, trash-talking pageant mom.

On Playing a Villain In ‘Insatiable’ — “I’ve never really gotten to play a villain before, which since I got this I’ve actually booked a few more villains! I watched Election again and again, with Reese Witherspoon’s character Tracy Flick, because I feel like you have to come from the point of view of your character and you’re trying really hard and nobody’s helping you and nobody gets it. So that it’s fun to come from a slightly skew point of view, but who just wants to win and thinks they’re right. And so that was sort of a jumping off place for me. And then, just looking at people who are trying to get what they want and they feel persecuted themselves and don’t necessarily see that perhaps they’re doing damage along the way. It’s fun. I think there’s a lot of teenage fears out there and I think a lot of people relate to feeling different or not feeling just comfortable in their skin. I feel like they really honor that on our show.”
