America Ferrera is an actress and activist who has charmed audiences for years through her movies and TV shows. Your first experience watching her was probably the Disney channel movie Gotta Kick It Up! (a total classic). From there, her career skyrocketed. She played Carmen in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alongside Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn. The next year, she landed the title role in the beloved sitcom Ugly Betty, which ran until 2010.

After a series of great roles, she found another starring vehicle in playing Amy on NBC’s Superstore. America is also a passionate human rights activist, voting advocate, and women’s rights activist.
