Happy birthday Alexis Bledel! Alexis is Rory Gilmore to many, but she’s also appeared in many other iconic film and television projects including ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ & ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.’

Alexis Bledel is seen attending the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 19, 2020. The ‘Gilmore Girls‘ icon looked gorgeous in a ’50s inspired dress that exuded old Hollywood glamour with intricate silver beading and tulle sleeves accented with a bell shaped accent.

Alexis Bledel was born on September 16, 1981, and rose to promince as a teenager on WB’s ‘Gilmore Girls’, which ran from 2000 – 2007. In the series, she played brilliant teen Rory Gilmore, who was the daughter of Lauren Graham’s Lorelai Gilmore. The popular show was later revived for Netflix in 2016. 

She returned to a major television role as Emily Malek in dystopian series ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ from 2017 – 2021. Other notable roles include ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’, ‘Tuck Everlasting’ and ‘Sin City.’

Alexis married actor Vincent Kartheiser in 2014, who she met when guest starring in three episodes of ‘Mad Men’ back in 2012. The two welcomed their only child, a son, in 2015.
