Stars Who Have Won The Most Oscars — Winning an Academy Award is the pinnacle for an actor’s career, so winning an Oscar more than once is an honor few share. In the 92 years of the Academy Awards, only 41 actors/actresses have won two or more Oscars in acting categories. Considering how many times Meryl Streep has been nominated – 21 nods as of 2020 – it’s not surprising that she has picked up three Oscars in her lifetime. Despite this outstanding accomplishment, she’s not the actor with the most Academy Awards. Creative forces like Walt Disney, Edith Head, Ingrid Bergman and so many more have cemented their place in history with a number of Oscars to their names.
