The auditions for America’s Got Talent season 18 are still underway, and new acts will hit the stage during the June 27 episode. Lachuné Boyd will be among the latest round of singers hoping to have their breakout moment on the show.
So, who is Lachuné? She has dedicated her life to making music. HollywoodLife has rounded up everything you need to know about this rising star.
Lachuné has been a vocal coach for Shine by Carey Lewis. She’s now started up her own online vocal studio called “Head to Heart.” She told Voyage Dallas, “I’ve had the privilege of working with singers from young to old and professional to beginners! I’ve helped supported singers entering into intense performance art programs and helped older age singers record their own records.”
She first fell in love with music while attending a small Black gospel church in South Carolina, according to her Dallas School of Music bio. She went on to study music at North Greenville University.
“I wish I knew failure was normal. I would advise anyone starting out to not overthink it but make it their first priority to find a mentor!” she told Voyage Dallas in an interview. “Most of all, work at your own pace and find the work that excites you. When folks discover your work make sure they find the work you WANT to create and be known for. Be authentic.”
The singer frequently posts her covers of hit songs like “Time After Time,” “Landslide,” and more. She shares her performances on both Instagram and TikTok. She has over 148,000 followers on TikTok and 1.2 million likes on her videos.
Lachuné dropped her first album — Sing Hallelujah! — in 2022. The album consisted of 9 tracks.
