The COVID-19 vaccines rollout continues, and many major A-list celebrities are doing their part by getting inoculated against the coronavirus. With older people at greater risk of requiring hospitalization or dying if diagnosed with the virus, the venerable and experienced have been given priority over the virile and youthful. From presidents (Joe Biden) to monarchs (Queen Elizabeth II) to Hollywood royalty, here is a running list of stars who have gotten a COVID-19 vaccine.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande urged fans to get vaccinated in an Instagram post, where she showed herself wearing a black mask. She also shared two links to help combat COVID misinformation so that fans can educate themselves on the importance and effectiveness of the vaccine. She also warned about the delta variant and noted how effective the vaccine is in preventing hospitalization and death. “Please and reassure yourself why getting vaxxed is the move. Save a life or two. Who knows,” she wrote after the links.

Olivia Rodrigo

Teen popstar Olivia Rodrigo wants you “happy and healthy” by getting vaccinated. Olivia visited the White House in July to help President Joe Biden get the word out to young people about getting vaccinated. She shared a photo of herself with the president and called on people to get the vaccine. “Even if you are young and not immunocompromised, getting your covid vaccination is the best thing you can do for your health and your loved ones’ health,” she wrote.

Kathy Griffin

Comedian Kathy Griffin revealed that she had received the COVID vaccine on Monday August 2, when she bravely told fans that she’d been diagnosed with lung cancer. She mentioned receiving the vaccine before she has surgery on one of her lungs. “Of course I am fully vaccinated for Covid. The consequences of being unvaccinated would have been even more serious,” she wrote in her message to fans.

Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton has gotten her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The Duchess, 39, took to Instagram on May 28 to share the exciting news that she had gotten the shot after returning from her royal tour of Scotland. “Yesterday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at London’s Science Museum. I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout – thank you for everything you are doing,” she captioned the photo of herself getting the vaccine, while rocking a casual white tee and light wash jeans.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus revealed on May 21 that she’s one of the many celebrities who’ve gotten the COVID-19 jab. The “Plastic Hearts” singer, 28, posted a photo to her Instagram Stories showing off the bandaid on her bicep while she flexes. Miley wore a Led Zeppelin tee and reminded her fans of something important: “Led Zeppelin is cool. Getting vaxxed is cooler.”

Alex Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez, 45, confirmed he’s received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. “#Grateful to get my second vaccination shot today,” he captioned an Instagram photo posted on Sunday, April 25. He rolled up his fitted black t-shirt to reveal the band-aid on his arm where he received the injection, still seated on a chair with nurses and medical staff behind him. “Happy Sunday, everyone!” he signed off.

Britney Spears

For many, getting any kind of shot is frightening. After all, needles can be scary. However, Britney Spears delivered a message on Apr. 8 that should help calm anyone who is nervous about getting a COVID vaccine. “Okay, people on the internet said it was really, really bad. Like it was a bullet going through your arm,” she said, alongside boyfriend Sam Asghari. “It was nothing. I felt nothing. I’m fine. And I hope I continue to stay fine.” At the end of her message, Britney and Sam channeled Borat and went in for a high-five.

Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner

Did you get your tickets? Because Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were putting on a GUN SHOW while showing off their vaccine bandage on Apr. 8. The couple posed for a mirror selfie, and each flashed the spot where they got their jab. “Let’s (NOT) Get It!” wrote Joe, implying that fans should NOT get COVID-19, and SHOULD get their COVID-19 vaccine shots.

Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman may be done playing Wolverine, but the 52-year-old Australian gave a shout-out to his X-Men role when getting his jab. “Wolverine’s healing ability can’t save me from Covid. But the vaccine can,” said Hugh on Apr. 8, likely prompting a million comic book nerds to discuss whether or not the mutant berserker could contract the coronavirus. “Get it!” he added, while also sharing a photo of him mimicking Logan’s iconic claws.

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey, 52, shared a video of herself getting her first vaccine shot on Instagram on Apr. 3. She was wearing a black tee and sunglasses as well as a black face mask and talked to the camera as the medical team were prepping to give her the shot. Once the shot went into her arm she hilariously screamed/sang a high note and laughed afterward. “Vaccine side effect: G6 🎵,” she captioned the clip. Check out the video above to see the full memorable moment!

Gracie McGraw

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill‘s 23-year-old daughter Gracie McGraw received her second dose of the vaccine on Mar. 31, and celebrated with an Instagram photo noting that she was now completely vaccinated against COVID-19. She wrote in the caption, “Fully vaxxxed and ready to ROCK (while also still respecting my fellow humans by continuing to wear my mask and be a good person),” while wearing not one but TWO face masks!

Blake Lively

Shortly after Ryan Reynolds shared his photo getting the vaccine on Mar. 31, wife Blake Lively also got hers as well. The 33-year-old actress shared an IG photo of her getting the jab and wrote in the caption, “Find you someone who looks at you like I look at the heroic nurse vaccinating me.” While Blake had a mask on, the joy in her eyes captured her happiness at getting the vaccine as she looked at her nurse, who by the outfit appeared to be the same person who gave Ryan his shot.

Ryan Reynolds

Leave it to Ryan Reynolds to turn getting his COVID-19 vaccine into a joke. The Deadpool star, 44, posted a photo of himself getting the shot to Twitter on March 31, looking pretty stoked. “Finally got 5G,” he joked, referring to the conspiracy theory that contracting coronavirus is linked to high speed mobile phone signals.

Amber Heard

With more and more states accelerating the vaccine process, younger stars are getting access to the shots. Amber Heard, 34, shared that she was inoculated on Mar. 30. The Aquaman star flashed her shoulder, a bandage across her skin while posing on a sign directing patients to a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic. “Did someone say ‘vaccine queen?’” she captioned the photo. By getting a shot, Amber is helping stop the spread of the deadly coronavirus and ensure that life will return to a semblance of normalcy sooner than later.

Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer became the lasted celeb to get her COVID-19 vaccine in New York City. The comedian, 39, took to Instagram to share footage of herself on her way to get her shot, and she even put on a little show for the frontline healthcare workers administering the vaccine. I hope you do too,” she wrote.

Tara Reid

Actress Tara Reid is among the latest celebs to get vaccinated! She encouraged her fans to get the shot, despite possible minor side effects, like arm pain. “Got vaccinated. I have to you the truth, it hurts terrible(sic). I feel like I got shot by a gun in my arm,” the Saved by the Bell: The New Class star captioned her March 18 Instagram photo. She added the hashtags, “#getvaccinated #goodluck #covidvacccine,” as she rocked a green tank top, a matching headband, and ripped jeans.

Sarah Hyland

Since the former Modern Family actress has undergone two kidney transplants due to kidney disease and suffers from endometriosis, the 30-year-old was at a higher risk of COVID-19 becoming serious or potentially deadly if she contracted it. Now Sarah has received her first of two doses of the vaccine and celebrated by sharing the news in a March 17 Instagram post.

“The luck of the Irish prevailed, and HALLELUJAH! I AM FINALLY VACCINATED!!!!! As a person with comorbidities and on immunosuppressants for life, I am so grateful to receive this vaccine. I am still remaining safe and following CDC guidelines, but once I receive my second dose? I will feel safe enough to go out every once in a while…GROCERY STORE HERE I COME! Thank you to the amazing Drs, nurses, and volunteers working every day to help save people’s lives,” she wrote next to a photo showing the band-aid over her arm’s jab location.

Kim Cattrall

Kim Cattrall has gotten the COVID vaccine! The former Sex and the City actress revealed she got her first shot after New York lowered the eligibility age. “They’ve expanded the vaccine eligibility age in New York! Made my appt yesterday and got the shot this morning. Good work, NY!” she captioned a March 10 Instagram photo of herself getting the vaccine. “Thank you for getting the vaccine and championing the cause by providing this photo!” one fan commented. We couldn’t agree more!

Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton got cheeky while revealing that she got the COVID-19 vaccine! “Dolly gets a dose of her own medicine,” the 75-year-old country music queen captioned a photo of herself getting the shot at the Vanderbilt Health medical center in Nashville, Tennessee. The “Jolene” singer actually helped fund the vaccine — she donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University’s coronavirus research in April of 2020, which went towards the Moderna company’s COVID-19 vaccine, per CNN.

Farrah Abraham

Farrah Abraham rocked a “G.I Joe – Mom” outfit — AKA, army green pants and a tiny tank top — to receive her COVID-19 vaccine. The Teen Mom OG alum shared a video of herself getting injected with the vaccine at a CVS on March 1 and wrote in the caption, “reporting for duty #covidvacccine complete.” She then urged women “who have compromised immune systems” to “prioritize [their] #covid19 vaccine.”

However, this news wasn’t made public until March 1. Both Donald and Melania tested positive for COVID-19 in Oct. 2020.

Amanda Kloots

Amanda Kloots is officially vaccinated! The incoming host of The Talk, who sadly lost her husband Nick Cordero following a battle with COVID-19 in July 2020, revealed the good news in a February 19 Instagram post. “I just got my COVID 19 vaccine! I went to a site and waited in my car until all appointments were over in hopes that they had any extra vaccines,” she began, noting that in Los Angeles, only essential workers and people over the age of 65 were able to book appointments. “I cannot tell you how emotional I was and still am right now. I had Elvis beside me and Live Your Life playing in the car … I have been terrified since Nick has passed, as a single mother, of getting this virus, and now I am one step closer to safety.” Although some followers claimed she “jumped the line” by getting the vaccine ahead of essential workers, the fitness instructor took to her IG story to ask her fans to stop “vaccine shaming.” “Everyone should be getting this vaccine, and anyone that gets it, we should be celebrating that one more person has got the vaccine,” she said.

 Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne has revealed he’s “relieved” to have gotten the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, giving fans an update alongside his wife Sharon Osbourne, who recently recovered from the coronavirus. The 72-year-old made a virtual appearance from bed with Sharon, 68, on the British talk show Loose Women on February 12. “Of course,” he replied when asked if he had gotten the vaccine yet. “He only had it yesterday,” Sharon added. Ozzy continued, “It felt like I was being stabbed. My arm was hurting yesterday, but I’m glad I got it, you know?'”

“As a citizen well into my platinum years, I got my first dose of the vaccine through the LA County Department of Health. I’ll continue to wear masks and practice social distancing. This too shall pass. Grand things are ahead,” he added.

Nene Leakes

Nene Leakes was incredibly emotional when she received her dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star took to Instagram to share what the process looked like, where she confessed that she was “so afraid of needless.” But Nene overcame her fear, and after receiving the vaccine, was absolutely overjoyed. “I was so emotional about doing this,” the footage of Nene was captioned. She even asked if the healthcare professional who administered the shot would give her the next shot! She also wrote in the above post, “I think we are better off with it than WITHOUT IT.”

Tyler Perry

Despite being “skeptical” at first, Tyler Perry, 51, received the COVID-19 vaccine. The media mogul will use his vaccination as a way to answer lingering questions – and quell any doubts about the vaccine – in his upcoming BET event, COVID-19 Vaccine And The Black Community: A Tyler Perry Special. While speaking with Gayle King during the Jan. 27 episode of CBS This Morning, Tyler explained why there’s a general distrust towards the vaccine in the African-American community. “If you look at our history in this country, the Tuskegee experiment, Henrietta Lacks, it raises flags for us as African American people. So I understand why there’s a healthy skepticism about the vaccine.”

“I have a crew that works for me, and they’re largely African-American people who were all skeptical about the vaccine,” said the mogul. “When they sat in the room, as they worked on the cameras, and doing hair and makeup and all that stuff, they listened to all the information, and by the time we got to the end of it, they all wanted to take it. So I think, again, it all goes back to getting the correct information and getting it from people that you trust, and you understand.”

The half-hour special includes Tyler speaking with Carlos del Rio, MD Executive Associate Dean for Emory School of Medicine at Grady Health System, and Kimberly Dyan Manning, MD Professor of Medicine at Grady Health System. Tyler said he received the Pfizer vaccine. After taking the second dose, he “woke up with some aches and pains” but felt fine after taking some Advil.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in November 2020 that Black or African American (Non-Hispanic persons) are 3.7-times more likely to be hospitalized for COVID-19, with a 2.8x rate of death compared to White, Non-Hispanic persons. “Race and ethnicity are risk markers for other underlying conditions that affect health including socioeconomic status, access to health care, and exposure to the virus related to occupation, e.g., frontline, essential, and critical infrastructure workers,” reports the CDC.

Sean Penn

Sean Penn, 60, tweeted a photo of himself receiving an injection of the COVID-19 vaccine on Jan. 26 and revealed that he has been working with the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Community Organized Relief Effort. “I’m a lucky man. Lucky to work alongside the ⁦@LAFD & our great frontline ⁦@CoreResponse staff, our partners at Carbon Health, USC, & Curative Lab. We test & vaccinate thousands per day. We need your support to get more people lucky. Text CORE to 707070 to donate,” the Fast Times at Ridgemont High star wrote.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger, 73, got vaccinated right on camera! The Terminator actor posted the clip to his Instagram account on Wednesday, Jan. 20, as he pulled up to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Arnold was seated in the passenger seat of the large black vehicle as the vaccine was administered by a visor-wearing nurse via a rolled-down window. “Today was a good day. I have never been happier to wait in a line. If you’re eligible, join me and sign up to get your vaccine. Come with me if you want to live!” he wrote. In the video, he joked, “put that needle down,” as the vaccine was administered in just seconds.

Al Roker

Al Roker, 66, received his COVID-19 vaccine live during the Jan. 19 episode of the TODAY show, two months after he revealed he’d be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Despite reaching the age requirements to get the vaccine, Al said getting an appointment wasn’t that easy. “All weekend long, I went on the New York state health.gov website and kept logging in and adding my information. I kept logging in, logging in, I finally hit pay dirt Sunday morning, and I got assigned here to Lenox Hill Hospital,” he said.

“That’s how I made it. But it was a constant [process]. I kept hitting refresh, refresh, refresh on the browser and finally got in,” he added. “Luck of the draw.” Before getting the first of two injections, Al asked Lenox Hill medical director, Dr. Daniel Baker, if the vaccine was safe. “The clinical trials really showed its efficacy,” Baker said. “We’ve seen hundreds of thousands of doses since, and everybody’s doing rather quite well.”

Dr. Baker also stressed that those who get the vaccine need to wear their mask still and shouldn’t rely on the public to achieve herd immunity from the virus. “Herd immunity really comes at about 85-90%, and the only way to get there is if everybody goes for the vaccine,” he said. “We’re going to get that 10-15% by people who couldn’t get it because of a medical illness or something along those lines, so we all have to do our part.”

Judi Dench

Judi Dench, 86, confirmed she’d received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. “I had one a week ago, so I think my next is something like 11 weeks’ time, that’s a great start!” the Oscar winner said on the BBC, according to The Daily Mail, on Thursday, Jan. 14. The Skyfall actress didn’t indicate if she received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, both of which require two doses — but the U.K. became the first western country to begin the vaccinations in Dec. 2020. Judi has been quarantined in the United Kingdom in the last few months, where she learned how to do TikTok videos with her grandson.

Martha Stewart

Martha Stewart, 79, is another celebrity who recently received the COVID-19 vaccine. The cooking legend took to her Instagram on Jan. 11 to share a video of herself receiving the preventative treatment while sitting down at the Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mount Sinai in New York City. She wrote a caption alongside the video to explain the process and her excitement in getting it.

“I was vaccinated today in a designated vaccine pod near the Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mount Sinai Downtown. I am so proud of and grateful to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff who are wading through the red tape and confusion of the distribution of these very important vaccines,” the caption read. “I am excited to have received my dosage and look forward to the booster. The doctors told me 10,000 applications were received by Mount Sinai right after the state released this batch of vaccines.”

“Here’s to the advancement of science and a heartfelt thanks to those working on the vaccines,” she continued. “We are all hoping for an end to this pandemic. To allay your concerns that I jumped the line, know that I am in the approved age group for this batch of vaccines, and I waited in line with others.”

Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip

Queen Elizabeth, 94, and her husband Prince Philip, 99, have been inoculated as well. The Royals received the COVID-19 vaccine by a household doctor at Windsor Castle, a representative confirmed to AP. The Queen “decided that she would let it be known she has had the vaccination,” the palace statement, along with confirming they received their first doses on Saturday, Jan. 9. Over 1.5 million UK residents have received the vaccine so far, mainly in high-risk categories.

Joe Biden & Kamala Harris

President-elect Joe Biden also joined the ranks of high-profile individuals who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. The 78-year-old politician received the Pfizer and BioNTech coronavirus vaccine, which was the first to be approved in the United States, on live TV. At a hospital in Newark, Delaware, Biden chatted with the nurse administering the vaccine and said he wanted Americans to know that it was safe. “I’m doing this to demonstrate that people should be prepared, when it’s available, to take the vaccine,” Biden said. “There’s nothing to worry about. I’m looking forward to the second shot.”

After receiving the injection, he addressed the cameras. “I want to say [that] we owe these folks an awful lot. The scientists and people who put this together. The front line workers, the ones who actually did the clinical work. It’s just amazing… we owe you big, we really do.” Biden also surprisingly gave a nod to the Trump administration. “I think that the administration deserves some credit for getting this off the ground with Operation Warp Speed,” he said, referring to the Coronavirus Task Force set up at the beginning of the pandemic. Kamala Harris, 56, also got vaccinated against the disease.

Ian McKellen

“It’s a very special day, I feel euphoric,” Sir Ian McKellen said after receiving the first of two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at Queen Mary University Hospital in London, England, per the Evening Standard. Sir Ian, 81, said it was everyone’s duty to get vaccinated and help stop the disease’s spread. “Anyone who has lived as long as I have is alive because they have had previous vaccinations, the take up amongst the older generation will be 100 percent — it ought to be — because you’re having it not just for yourself but for people who you are close to – you’re doing your bit for society.”

“Of course, it’s painless… it’s convenient, and getting in touch and meeting NHS staff and saying thank you to them for how hard they’ve been working is a bonus,” said the Lord of the Rings star. “I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. … I feel very lucky to have had the vaccine.” The United Kingdom was the first Western country to roll out the vaccine, with healthcare workers, the elderly, and people living in care homes getting inoculated at the start of December.

Prue Leith

In addition to Sir Ian, Greatest British Bake Off judge Prue Leith, 80, and British rocker Marty Wilde, 81, also received the vaccine. “Having just had my Covid injection, I can honestly say it was an easy experience, if that’s the right word,” said Marty, who is known for being among the first generation of British pop stars to emulate rock and roll. “It was painless, and the staff was great.”

The U.S. rollout of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine began on Monday (Dec. 14), according to Buzzfeed. In America, the first person to receive the vaccine was Sandra Lindsay, a critical care nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, New York. She was vaccinated during a live press conference with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. “I hope this marks the beginning of the end of a very painful time in our history,” said Lindsay, per Buzzfeed. “I feel hopeful today. I want to instill public confidence that the vaccine is safe, we’re in a pandemic, and so we all need to do our part to put an end to the pandemic and not give up so soon.”

The COVID-19 virus has infected over 74 million people worldwide. Among those who caught the disease are musicians (Bad Bunny, Kanye West), sports stars (Cristiano Ronaldo, Lewis Hamilton), actors (Kristen Stewart, Tom Hanks), politicians (Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani), and reality TV stars (Larsa Pippen,  Khloe Kardashian). As the rollout continues, expect more and more stars to do their part and get vaccinated.
