Everyone is talking about Taylor Swift — not just because of her many appearances at boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s football games, but also because the 2024 Grammy Awards are coming up. Music’s biggest night is taking place on Sunday, February 4 and Taylor, 34, is up for multiple awards for her 2022 album Midnights. Taylor had an incredible year in 2023 with her Eras Tour that is going until the end of 2024.
Taylor’s die-hard fans, the “Swifties,” have been dying to know if she’ll be at the 2024 Grammys, and also if she’s going to perform at the show.
No, Taylor is not performing at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Entertainment Tonight confirmed on January 28 that the “Love Story” singer is not taking the stage at the Crypto.com Arena in L.A. this year. ET claimed that Taylor isn’t performing because “she has a quick turnaround” before her Eras Tour stars back up again in Tokyo on February 7.
The 2024 Grammys will still feature great performances from A-list talent like Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Dua Lipa, Joni Mitchell, Olivia Rodrigo, and Travis Scott.
While she isn’t performing at the 2024 Grammys, Taylor will be in attendance at the show. It’s unclear if she will walk the red carpet, but she will be at the ceremony where she’s up for several awards. ET reported that Taylor “will quickly head out from the show and travel to Tokyo, Japan,” where she has four shows from February 7 to February 10. She’s expected to fly back to the U.S. after her final Tokyo show to cheer on Travis at the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
Taylor is nominated for six awards at the 2024 Grammy Awards, all for her work on her tenth studio album, Midnights. The album itself is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Her hit track “Anti-Hero” is nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Solo Pop Performance. Lastly, her “Karma” collab with Ice Spice is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Taylor was on tour in November when she found out she was nominated for the Grammys. “The way you have supported my album, Midnights, it just got nominated for six GRAMMYS,” she said while playing the piano at one of her shows in Argentina. “You’re the best.”
Heading into the 2024 Grammys, Taylor has 12 wins out of 52 nominations. She’s tied for the most wins for Album of the Year, with three. She took home those trophies for her albums Fearless, 1989, and Folklore.
