8 Celebs To Dress As For Halloween: Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian & More

Dressing as a celebrity is a great way slay on Halloween — and we rounded up some stars who make amazing costume inspiration!

Halloween is right around the corner, and if you don’t have your costume for 2020 yet, we’re here to help. There are plenty of celebrities who have provided the ultimate looks that you can recreate for Halloween. Whether it’s legendary red carpet outfits or a memorable street style moment, these stars have given us amazing inspiration for the holiday.

Jennifer Lopez

Back in 2000, Jennifer Lopez wore one of the most buzzed-about red carpet looks of all-time when she attended the 2000 Grammys. Her plunging, green Versace gown had a neckline that went down to her belly button, and the look is still talked about to this day. In 2019, J.Lo recreated the look herself for a Versace fashion show, proving that there are ways to alter the ensemble, while still keeping in tune with the original style. There are plenty of knock-off versions of this look online for us everyday folk, too!

Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake

It’s been years since Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake split, but fans still talk about their epic, all-denim, matching red carpet look at the 2001 American Music Awards. To this day, Britney and Justin’s outfits are inspiration for couples’ costumes everywhere. Plus, with toned-down versions of the looks, all of the pieces can be used for everyday style, as well — maybe just wear them separately instead of all at once!

Every time Post Malone walks a red carpet or attends a big event, he’s known to wear some out-there outfit. Well, his look from the 2019 Grammys is the perfect one to re-create. Plus, the rhinestoned, leather look could also double as a cowgirl or cowboy outfit with the right accessories! If your going for a Post Malone look, though, the only additional accessory you’ll need is some (temporary) face tattoos.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift’s look from a performance during Pride Month in 2019 is the perfect costume to re-create in 2020. With all the tension and differences in the world, a costume showing support for the LGBTQ community is just what’s needed. Taylor went all-out with her rainbow-themed look — even down to the tie-dye sneakers — but it can be toned down for Halloween, too.

Lil Kim

Like J.Lo, Lil Kim also has one of the most memorable celebrity red carpet looks ever. At the 1999 VMAs, she famously wore a one-shouldered dress, with one of her nipples covered ONLY by a pastie. Miley Cyrus has since re-created the look for Halloween, and it’s the perfect, recognizable look that’s the perfect combination of sexy and fun.

Kendall & Kylie Jenner

At the 2019 Met Gala, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner walked the red carpet together in iconic Versace looks. Kylie matched her hair to her lavender gown, while Kendall stood out in her orange ensemble. Months later, Kylie dressed her daughter, Stormi Webster, in a miniature version of the look. Obviously, scoring a custom Versace gown like this is no easy feat, but there are plenty of knock-offs out there that would be perfect for Halloween.

Kim Kardashian

Kendall and Kylie’s big sister, Kim Kardashian, has, of course, had a number of amazing looks that could be good for Halloween. However, her 2019 Met Gala look was also epic — she wore a nude-colored, latex dress which was dripping in diamonds. Kim spent weeks getting her body in shape so she could (literally) squeeze into the dress. Obviously, this is a bit extreme, but there are definitely ways to alter this outfit to make it comfortable for Halloween!

Miley Cyrus

Who could forget Miley Cyrus’ performance at the 2013 Video Music Awards?! To this day, it is one of the most memorable moments in the show’s history, and the look that she wore to twerk on Robin Thicke is definitely a go-to Halloween outfit.
