Wendi Deng (Born Deng Wenge December 8, 1968 in Jinan, Shandong, China) Is the ex-wife of Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch. In 1987 she met an American businessman and his wife who were living in China. She learned English from them and they sponsored her student visa to come to the U.S. to enroll in college. She received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from California State University, Northridge, and went on to get her MBA from the Yale School of Management. She then got a job working at Rupert’s News Corp subsidiary Star TV in Hong Kong as a junior executive. In 1997 she met him in person at a company party and the two began dating. They married in 1999 aboard his yacht. She went on to help her husband develop business links with China for high-speed video and internet access projects.

Personal Life:
Wendi was living with Jake and Joyce Cherry while studying in the U.S. United States. Joyce discovered Wendi and Jake were having and affair and kicked them out. Jake and Wendi then married, but divorced two years later, though it was enough for her to secure her Green Card. Wendi has two children with Rupert, Grace, 15, and Chloe, 12. In June, 2013, Rupert filed for divorce from Wendi after it came to light she had allegedly had a long love affair with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. On March 30, 2016 it was revealed that Wendi was involved in a romantic relationship with Russian leader Vladamir Putin.
