Uzo Aduba (born Uzoamaka Nwaneka Aduba in Boston Massachusetts) is an American actress. After graduating from Boston University, Uzo began her acting career in the theater, and made her Broadway debut in 2007’s Coram Boy. She made her first television appearance on Blue Bloods in 2012, but really gained recognition when she was cast as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes'” on the Netflix series Orange Is The New Black, which first aired in 2013. For her role in the show, she’s won a Critics’ Choice Television Award, Primetime Emmy Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
