Trevor Noah (born February 20, 1984 in South Africa) is a South African comedian and actor. Trevor had a major role on the South African soap opera Isidingo in 2002, when he was just 18. From there, he began hosting his own radio show, Noah’s Ark, on one of South Africa’s leading youth radio station, YFM. Trevor would go on to host a variety of South African television programs, before shifting his focus onto his comedy. Trevor’s stand-up would lead him to have four different comedy specials in South Africa, including The Daywalker (2009) Crazy Normal (2011) That’s Racist (2012) and It’s My culture (2013.) In 2012, Trevor was the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on The Tonight Show. He broke the same record for the Late Show With David Letterman in 2013. In 2014, Trevor became a recurring contributor to The Daily Show and in March 2015, it was announced that Trevor would take over the hosting duties from the departing Jon Stewart.

Personal Life:
As of 2014, Trevor was reportedly dating Dani Gabriel, a physiotherapist based in Cape Town. Trevor’s mother, Patricia Noah, is a black South African while his father, Robert Noah, is white of Swiss-German deccent. The two met during a time when interracial relationships were illegal in South Africa. Trevor speaks several languages including English, German, Xhosa, isiZulu, Sotho and Afrikaans.
