Steve Harvey (born Broderick Stephen Harvey on January 17, 1957 in Welch, West Virginia) is an American television host, comedian, producer, actor, and writer. After growing up in both West Virginia and Ohio and trying several different jobs, Steve began his comedy career with stand-up in 1985. He spent three years dealing with homelessness as he struggled to find gigs, but had his break in 1990 when he was a finalist in a comedy search. Since then, he has acted in, produced, and written for several television shows, including his own, The Steve Harvey Show, from 1996-2002. Steve has had several hosting gigs on television and radio throughout his career, landing the spot as Family Feud‘s host in 2010, which he still holds. He also began his own talk-variety show titled Steve Harvey in 2012. On December 20, 2015, he will serve as host for the Miss Universe pageant.

Personal Life:
Now in his third marriage, Steve has been happily married to Marjorie Harvey since 2007. Before Marjorie, Steve was married to Mary Lee Shackelford for 9 years, with whom he had a son named Wynton in 1997. He also has three children with his first wife, Marcia Harvey: twin daughters Karli and Brandi, and a son, Broderick Harvey Jr. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
