Shannen Doherty

Bio:
Shannen Doherty (born Shannen Maria Doherty in Memphis, Tennesee on April 12, 1971) is an American actress, producer author, and television director. The actress started off with small guest spots on TV series including Voyagers! and Father Murphy. Not too long after, Shannen auditioned for a role as a series regular on Little House on the Prairie at the young age of 11 and got it. In the 80s, Shannen continued to work on other shows. It wasn’t until 1989 she was casted in her first major motion picture role for the film, Heathers. Shortly after, the actress started to gain worldwide attention for her role as Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210. Roughly eight years after she was casted in 90210, Aaron Spelling casted Shannen yet again in his new series, Charmed, where she starred alongside Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs. She later left the series in 2001 because there was allegedly tension between herself and Alyssa.

Best Known For:
Shannen Doherty is best known for her roles on two popular TV shows. One as Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210 and the other as Prue Halliwell in Charmed.

Personal Life:
Shannen Doherty was married three times. On October 11, 1993, she married Ashley Hamilton and they divorced months later in April 1994. Then in 2002, the actress married Rick Salomon, but the marriage was annulled after just nine months. Shannen then married again on October 15, 2011 to Kurt Iswarienko in Malibu, California. On Aug. 19, 2015, the actress was said to be diagnosed with breast cancer. Shannen went to the LA Superior Court to file a lawsuit against business management firm of Tanner Mainstain for failing to pay the premium on her health insurance, causing it to be cancelled. Without medical insurance, she didn’t visit doctors or get a cancer check up.
