Bio:
Seth Gilliam (born November 5, 1968 in New York) is an American actor. Seth graduated from SUNY Purchase in 1990, and shortly afterward, his lengthy career kicked off with a role on The Cosby Show, playing Aaron Dexter for three episodes. He would act in shows Law & Order and movies like Joey Breaker before having his breakout role in 1999. That year, he was cast as Clatyon Hughes in the television drama, OZ. He would continue this success with a role on the critically acclaimed show, The Wire, playing lieutenant Ellis Carver until the show’s end in 2008. Afterward, Seth would have roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent, CSI: Miami, The Good Wife, and Nurse Jackie. In 2011, he was cast as Dr. Alan Deaton on the Teen Wolf television adaptation. In 2014, he landed the role of Gabriel Strokes in The Walking Dead. He is the third actor from The Wire to join the show, as he followed Lawrence Gilliard Jr. and Chad Coleman. In addition to his television work, Seth has acted on the stage, playing Prince Edward in a production of Richard III and the lead of the Commonwealth Shakespeare Productions of Othello.

Personal Life:
Seth is married to theatre director Leah Gardiner. While he is very protective of his private life, Seth did let it be known that he and Leah have one child together. In 2015, Georgia police stopped Seth after he was caught allegedly driving twice the speed limit while under the influence. He reportedly registered a 0.1 blood-alcohol level and police supposedly confiscated a small amount of marijuana from his car.
