Rose Byrne (born Mary Rose Byrne on July 24, 1979 in Balmain, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian actress. Rose began taking acting classes at eight years old, joining the Australian Theatre for Young People. She attended University of Sydney and studied acting at the Atlantic Theatre Company. Her first film role came when she was only 13, appearing in Dallas Doll. In the 1990s, Rose acted in various Australian television shows. Her big break came in 2000, when she acted in The Goddess of 1967. Her performance won her the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival. Rose then starred in City of Ghosts with Matt Dillon, Troy with Brad Pitt and in 28 Weeks Later. In 2007, Rose was cast in the FX drama, Damages. She appeared in every episode until its end in 2012. Rose has appeared in films X-Men: First Class, Neighbors, Annie, and Bridesmaids. She will appear in Neighbors 2.

He confirmed their relationship during his acceptance speech at the 2013 Emmy Awards.
