In 1973, he got into Julliard as one of 20 students accepted — one of two accepted to the Advanced Program (the other was Christopher Reeve). His first breakthrough role was in the TV show, Mork & Mindy. He then went on to star in multiple award-winning films. He has been nominated for three academy awards, and won one for his role in Good Will Hunting. He has also won five Grammys, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actor Guilds, and two Emmys. Along with acting, Robin also mastered the work of being a voice actor — which he did brilliantly as Genie in Disney’s Aladdin. Sadly, Robin passed away on August 11, 2014 at his home in Tiburon, Calif. He was 63 years old at the time of his death.

They also welcomed a second child together, son Cody, who was born in 1991. They divorced in 2008, due to “irreconcilable differences,” and Robin went on to marry his third wife, Susan Schneider, in 2011. Robin and Susan were still married at the time of his death.
