Rob Kardashian (born Robert Arthur Kardashian in Los Angeles, California on March 17, 1987) is an American television personality, businessman, and fashion designer. Though his fame isn’t as massive as that of his sisters – Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, or Kylie Jenner – the male member of the KarJenner empire has managed to ‘keep up’ with his famous family, in his own way.
Career:
As the youngest child of Kris Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian, Rob grew up in a household full of life and female energy. He gained a trio of step-brothers in 1991 after Kris and Robert divorced, and she married Caitlyn Jenner (the father of Brody Jenner, Brandon Jenner, and Burton “Burt” Jenner.) Rob would be introduced to the rest of America and, subsequently, the world, in 2007 with the premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Rob’s life was featured prominently in the first 13 seasons of the show, including his two-year romance with Adrienne Bailon. However, Rob’s role on the show began to diminish around the time he began battling his weight.
In 2009, Rob graduated from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. Two years later, he would take his educated feet out on the dance floor, joining Cheryl Burke on season 13 of Dancing with the Stars. He made it further on the dance competition than his sister Kim (who was eliminated third on season 7), progressing to the finals. Though Rob failed to take home the mirror ball trophy (he came in second to J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff), his time on the show was considered a success.
Like the rest of his family, Rob has had his fair share of business ventures. He’s worked with PerfectSkin, Ribal Spot, and the BG5. In 2012, he launched his sock line, Arthur George. The high-quality footwear offers humorous phrases on the feet, including “STAY TRILL,” “KEEP UP,” “DAMN GINA,” and “SOLE MATE.” As of 2020, he was reportedly worth $10 million, with most of the value coming from his time on Keeping Up.
Rob’s role on Keeping Up with the Kardashians diminished over the years as he continued to struggle with keeping his weight under control. He returned to the forefront in Season 12 after he began dating Blac Chyna, the ex of Kylie Jenner’s then-boyfriend, Tyga. Rob wouldn’t be featured on seasons 14 and 15 of the show, but after a short absence (and, apparently, a short feud with his sisters), he returned for seasons 16 through 18. In 2016, Rob got his own Keeping Up spin-off, Rob & Chyna. It lasted only a season, around the same length as their relationship.
As of 2020, Rob continues to work hard on maintaining his weight, running his sock business, and being a member of the first family of reality TV.
Personal Life:
Rob was involved with Adrienne Bailon from 2007 to 2009, a romance featured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. He briefly dated singer Rita Ora in 2012. In 2016, Rob began dating Blac Chyna, and in April, they announced their engagement (after just three months of dating.) The next month, Blac and Chyna revealed that they were expecting a child, and in November, they welcomed Dream Kardashian into the world. A month after that, the couple split, reconciled and then, split for good. Since then, they’ve maintained a positive relationship while co-parenting their daughter.
