Bio:
Pitbull (born Armando Christian Pérez on January 15, 1981 in Miami, Florida) is a Cuban-American rapper and singer. His first appearance was on Lil Jon’s 2002 album Kings of Crunk, on a solo track. He released his first album, M.I.A.M.I. (Money Is A Major Issue), in 2004. His fourth album, Rebelution, was finally what gained him international recognition, with the 2009 track “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)”. Pitbull has spoken about how his music has been influenced by the Miami bass genre of pop music, and artists like Celia Cruz and Willy Chirino. His singles “Give Me Everything” and “Timber” became number one hits. He recorded the official song for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, “We Are One (Ole Ola)”, with Jennifer Lopez, whom he’s collaborated with multiple times since. His ninth album, a Spanish language record called Dale, earned him a 2015 Grammy award for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album.
