Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (born Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach in Stuttgart Germany on Sep. 24, 1989) is a Filipino-German actress and model who was crowned Miss Universe 2015 on Dec. 20, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before that she won the Binibining Pilipinas 2015, after taking part in the competition for the third time. She represented Cagayan de Oro in the national pageant of the Philippines. Pia has also worked as a host, TV personality, chef, beauty writer, stylist, makeup artist.

Best Known For:
Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is best known for being crowned Miss Universe 2015 — after host Steve Harvey first incorrectly announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez as the pageant winner.

Personal Life:
Pia’smother is Filipino while her father is German. Her middle name Alonzo, is her mother’s maiden name which is a tradition in the Philippines. She has a younger sister. She earned a degree at ABS-CBN Distance Learning School in Quezon City and has studied Culinary Arts at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies in San Juan, Metro Manila. In 2015 Pia was rumored to be dating the President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino III.
