Nicole Kidman (born Nicole Mary Kidman on June 20, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii,) is an Australian actress. Nicole was born in Hawaii while her Australian parents were in the US on educational vistas. Growing up in Sydney, Nicole enrolled in ballet and cultivated her natural talent in acting throughout high school. Nicole attended the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne while developing her early career. She made her film debut at age 16 in a remake of the Australian holiday movie, Bush Christmas. She continued to gain momentum in the 1980s, appearing in movies BMX Bandits and Windrider. Her appearance in 1989’s Dead Calm brought her international recognition. The next year, Nicole starred in Days of Thunder with future husband, Tom Cruise. Nicole’s role in 1991’s Billy Bathgate earned her her first Golden Globe Nomination. She followed that with her most critical and commercial success, Far And Away. Nicole’s star continued to rise as she appeared in movies Moulin Rouge, Batman Forever, Portrait of a Lady, Eyes Wide Shut and 2002’s, The Hours, which won Nicole a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Actress. Nicole continues to act, gaining praise for her role in 2011’s The Paperboy and 2014’s Before I Go To Sleep.

Personal Life:
Nicole and Tom Cruise married in December 1990, after meeting on Days of Thunder. The two adopted a daughter, Isabella Jane, and a son, Connor Anthony. They divorced in 2001, citing irreconcilable differences. Nicole met Keith Urban, at G’Day LA in 2005. They married a year later. They welcomed their first daughter, Sunday Rose, in 2008 and their second, Faith Margaret, in 2010. Nicole is active in humanitarian efforts, working with UNICEF and additional charities. In 2006, Nicole was made a Companion of the Order of Australia.
