Nick Offerman

Bio:
Nick Offerman (born June 26, 1970 in Joliet, Illinois) is an American actor, writer and humorist. Nick grew up in Illinois, attending college at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree. That year, he co-founded a Chicago based theatre company named Defiant Theatre. In the 1990s, Nick became a fixture on the Chicago performance scene. During this time, he connected with Amy Poehler, his future Parks & Rec co-star. Nick’s film and television career began with small roles in films like City of Angels and Murder by Numbers and appearances in shows, ER, The West Wing, Gilmore Girls and Will & Grace. Nick’s break-out came when he was offered the role of Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, the spiritual sequel to NBC’s The Office. He stayed with the show for its entire run. His additional roles have included appearances on Drunk History and Fargo. He has also lent his voice to numerous cartoon appearances, like Gravity Falls, The Simpsons and the lead character of Axe Cop.

Personal Life:
Nick married actress Megan Mullally in 2003. They met while acting on a play and married after dating for 18 months. In addition to acting, Nick is talented as a woodworker, as he makes furniture and boats. He has released two books – Paddle Your Own Canoe and Gumption. He is a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
