Nick Carter (born Nickolas Gene Carter in Jamestown, NY on January 28, 1980) is a musician and member of the boy band, Backstreet Boys. As a kid, he auditioned for many acting roles and had a cameo in Edward Scissorhands. When Nick was 12, he joined the group, along with Brian Littrell, A.J. McLean, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough. The band went on their first tour in 1995 and put out their first international album in 1996. The band continued their success until taking a two-year hiatus in 2001. Ever since 2003, they have still been a band. Nick released a solo album in 2002, and then paired up with Jordan Knight in 2014 for the Nick & Knight album. His family also had a TV show, House of Carters on E! in 2006, and he appeared on other shows like 8 Simple Rules and American Dreams. In 2014, he starred on his own reality show with his new wife, I Heart Nick Carter on VH1. He also wrote, directed and starred in a SyFy movie called, Dead 7. In 2014 he competed in Dancing With The Stars with partner Sharna Burgess, and came in second place. At the same time, he and wife Lauren Kitt announced they were pregnant with their first son.

Personal Life:
Nick Carter has suffered through his life with alcohol and drug issues, and was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, forcing him to become sober. He has four siblings — twins Aaron and Angel, Bobbie Jean and Leslie, who died at the age of 25 in 2012. Nick married Lauren Kitt in April 2014. On October 27, 2015, it was reported that Nick and Lauren were expecting their first child together. And it turned out to be true because on November 2, 2015, the couple found out live on Dancing with the Stars that they were expecting a baby boy! On Nov. 2, 2017, Dream singer Melissa Schuman accused Nick of raping her when she was 18.
