Bio:
Michelle Rounds was an executive search-consultant who was married to comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell from 2012 to 2015. She met Rosie when she was 40 years old in 2011, and Rosie announced their engagement during a taping of The Rosie Show in December 2011. The couple had to move up their wedding after Michelle was diagnosed with Desmoid Tumors, a rare disease that effects only 3 of every million people. They were married on June 9, 2012, before Michelle’s first surgery on June 14, 2012. Rosie announced that she and Michelle were divorcing in February 2015, after they separated in November 201. Their divorce became final in March 2016, and Rosie received sole custody of their daughter, Dakota, 4.

Personal Life:
Michelle Rounds attempted suicide in 2015 and Rosie was on the phone, talking her out of it before a medic took over. On September 15, 2017, it was revealed that Michelle died of an apparent suicide four days prior. Rosie told TMZ, “I am saddened to hear about this terrible tragedy. Mental illness is a very serious issue affecting many families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle’s family, her wife and their child.”
